The God Who Sees
Sermon date: February 22, 2026
📌 LEADER’S BULLETIN
Leader Heart Check As a leader, it is easy to feel like your labor goes unnoticed or that the weight of your group rests solely on your shoulders. Today, remember that you serve El Roi—the God who sees you. He sees the prayers you offer in private, the care you show your members, and the heart you have for His kingdom. You aren't just leading a meeting; you are reflecting the eyes of God to those who feel invisible.
Attendance Reminder: Please remember to log your group’s attendance in the Church App or your email by this Sunday.

🔑 CONNECTION KEY (Leader Briefing)
Core Theme: Recognizing that God is not distant; He is El Roi, the God who sees the lost, the unreached, and the individual.
Key Discussion Goals:
To understand that God's "seeing" is an act of care and provision, not just observation.
To challenge the group to see others through God's eyes of grace.
To affirm our identity as being "fearfully and wonderfully made" and fully known by Him.
Leader Tip: This topic may touch on feelings of loneliness or rejection. Create a safe space for members to share times they felt "unseen" by the world but found by God.
Key Phrase: "Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me".
📖 Sermon Points
1. He Is The God Who Sees The Lost
Scripture: Genesis 16:7-15; Psalm 139:23-24; Genesis 22:18
God’s gaze is an active search for those who are wandering or in distress. Just as the Angel of the Lord found Hagar by a spring in the wilderness, God meets us in our lowest and most isolated moments. He doesn't just watch from a distance; He interrupts our flight to offer a promise and a path forward. When we invite Him to "search" us, we are asking the God who already knows our hearts to lead us back to the way everlasting.
Reflection: Hagar was "fleeing" when God found her. What are some things we tend to run toward when we feel overwhelmed?
Reflection: How does knowing God sees your "inmost being" change the way you pray during difficult seasons?
2. He Is The God Who Sees The Unreached
Scripture: Revelation 7:9-10; Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 10:14-15
God’s vision is global and inclusive. He sees a "great multitude that no one could number" from every tribe, nation, and language standing before His throne. Because He sees them, He sends us. We are called to "go and make disciples," understanding that people cannot believe in a God they have never heard of. Our mission is to be the "beautiful feet" that carry the good news to those God is already looking upon with love.
Reflection: Who in your daily life (coworkers, neighbors, etc.) might feel "unreached" or "unseen" by the church?
Reflection: What practical step can you take this week to "preach the good news" through your actions or words?
3. He Is The God Who Sees You
Scripture: Luke 7:36-39, 44-48; Psalm 139:13-17
While the world (and sometimes the religious) sees a "sinner" or a "mistake," Jesus sees a person worthy of forgiveness and restoration. In the house of the Pharisee, Jesus acknowledged the woman's devotion when others only saw her past. You were knit together in your mother's womb, and every day of your life was written in His book before it began. You are not a number; you are a meticulously crafted child of God.
Reflection: Jesus asked Simon, "Do you see this woman?" How often do we look at people without actually seeing them as God does?
Reflection: How does the truth that you are "fearfully and wonderfully made" combat the lies of shame or low self-esteem?
🛠Practical Application
The Challenge Identify one person this week who often goes unnoticed (a service worker, a quiet neighbor, or a lonely relative). Make an intentional effort to "see" them—learn their name, ask how they are, and offer a word of encouragement.
The Audit/Reflection Spend 10 minutes in silence with Psalm 139. Ask God: "Is there any area of my life where I am hiding from You because I feel 'unworthy' of Your gaze?". Remind yourself that He sees you to restore you, not to condemn you.
The Prayer Focus Pray for the "unreached" in our city and across the nations. Ask God to open doors for the Gospel and to give you "beautiful feet" to share His love with someone who feels invisible.
🙌 Weekly Declaration
"This week, I walk in the confidence that I am seen by El Roi. I refuse to live in the shadows of shame or the fear of being unknown, for my Creator knit me together and knows my every thought. I choose to see others through the eyes of Christ—not defining them by their past, but by their God-given potential. I am a witness to the lost and a light to the unreached, sent to declare that salvation belongs to our God. I am fully known, deeply loved, and fearfully made. In Jesus’ name, Amen".
