Taking The Limits Off Of God.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 [NLT]

41 Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.

Psalms 78:41 [NKJV]

Yesterday it was the people of Israel;
today it is the church—Christians.

God's problem is not with the world; it is with His own people.

How To Take The Limits Off Of God.

1. Believe God Hears Your Prayers.

1 I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. 2 Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Psalm 116:1-2 [NLT]

2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.

James 4:2 [NLT]

3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Jeremiah 33:3 [NKJV]

14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 [NLT]

The power of prayer lies in the one who hears it, not in the one who says it.

2. Believe In The Power Of Obedience.

15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.

John 14:15 [AMP]

God’s love language is obedience.

22 What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to His voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams

1 Samuel 15:22 [NLT]

4 When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.” 6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

Luke 5:4-7 [NIV]

3. Believe Your Faith Provokes Jesus To Break The Rules.

5 And because of their unbelief, He couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place His hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Mark 6:5 [NLT]

21 Then Jesus left Galilee and went north to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Gentile woman who lived there came to Him, pleading, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! For my daughter is possessed by a demon that torments her severely.” 23 But Jesus gave her no reply, not even a word. Then His disciples urged Him to send her away. “Tell her to go away,” they said. “She is bothering us with all her begging.” 24 Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep — the people of Israel.” 25 But she came and worshiped Him, pleading again, “Lord, help me!” 26 Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.” 27 She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.”

Matthew 15:21-27 [NLT]

28 “Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

Matthew 15:28 [NLT]
